Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jerusalen Tools (“this website”, “we”) handles information when you use our free online calculators. Our guiding principle is data minimisation: the site works without sign-ups or user accounts, and we collect no personal data beyond what is strictly necessary to serve advertising and keep the service running.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is the team that operates Jerusalen Tools. For any privacy-related enquiry, please reach us through the form available on the contact page of this website.

2. Your calculations never leave your browser

Every calculator on Jerusalen Tools runs entirely on the client side. In practice, this means:

  • The values you enter (amounts, dates, measurements, financial or health figures) are processed exclusively in your browser.
  • Nothing you type into a calculator is ever sent to our servers or to any third party.
  • We do not store, see, or have any way to retrieve your calculations.

We believe this architecture is the strongest privacy guarantee we can offer: data we never receive cannot be lost, sold, or disclosed.

3. What data is processed

Although we do not collect the content of your calculations, running the site involves the following processing activities.

3.1 Advertising: Google AdSense

This website is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. As our advertising technology provider, Google may use cookies and similar technologies (such as device identifiers) to:

  • Serve ads and measure their performance.
  • Personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites, where you have given your consent.
  • Detect and prevent ad fraud.

You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can manage Google ad personalisation on Google’s Ads Settings page: adsettings.google.com

3.2 Consent management (CMP)

If you visit us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent notice managed by a certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework. Through it you can:

  • Accept or refuse advertising cookies.
  • Choose between personalised and non-personalised ads.
  • Change or withdraw your consent at any time from the cookies page of this website.

Refusing advertising cookies does not affect the calculators: they will keep working exactly as before.

3.3 Cookieless analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

To understand aggregate usage of the site (most visited pages, countries, browser types) we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that:

  • Uses no cookies and no local storage.
  • Performs no fingerprinting and creates no personal identifiers.
  • Provides us only with aggregated, anonymous statistics.

3.4 Technical server logs

Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may transiently process technical data, such as your IP address, as needed to deliver content, balance load and protect the site against attacks. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

4. Legal bases

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): advertising cookies and personalised advertising.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): security, fraud prevention, cookieless aggregate analytics and basic ad measurement where the law allows it.

5. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR and equivalent laws grant you the following rights:

  • Access: find out whether we process personal data about you and obtain a copy.
  • Rectification: have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure: request the deletion of your data (the “right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest and, at any time, to direct marketing.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit processing in certain situations.

If you are a California resident, or live in another US state with a comparable privacy law (such as the CCPA/CPRA), you have analogous rights: to know, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, use the form on the contact page of this website. We will respond within the statutory deadlines (generally one month under the GDPR). Because we keep no user accounts or visitor databases, in many cases the honest answer will be that we hold no personal data about you at all; for advertising cookies, the most effective controls are the CMP and the Google links above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers (Google, Cloudflare) are headquartered in the United States and may process data outside the EEA. These transfers rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

7. Data retention

  • Calculator data: never collected, therefore never retained.
  • Consent preferences: stored in your browser until you change them, or for the maximum period set by the CMP (typically no longer than 13 months).
  • Google advertising cookies: kept for the periods described in the Google documentation linked above.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics statistics: aggregated and free of personal identifiers.
  • Messages sent through the contact form: kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and meet applicable legal obligations.

8. Children

This website is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. The calculators can be used without providing any personal data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The current version will always be published on this page together with its effective date. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on the site.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about this policy or about how your data is handled, please write to us through the form on the contact page of this website.
